I've built Gunpla kits before, but this is the first time I painted one.

I got the SDEX Strike Gundam and decided to make it difficult for myself and paint it as a Strike Rouge. (Somehow Bandai never made a proper SD Strike Rouge kit?)

I'm more used to painting Warhammer and D&D minis so went for a wash instead of the panel lining route. (Most panel lines are too shallow on the SDEX anyway.) Went a bit overboard with the wash, but the gritty look is growing on me.

Maybe I'll try dry brushing to bring out the highlights. 🤔
