As the title says, I am tired.
I visit the main TADC subs a lot, and I am dissapointed not only in the fans, but a bit in humanity too.
The way people talk about Jax breaks my heart. Yes I am naturally biased for him because I'm a Jax fan but there's something else.
I am tired and sad of the lack of humanity and empathy in the fandom. Jax is not a great person, he really isn't. He did bully Gangle and Ragatha, but it is no reason to want him dead, abstracted, or anything of the sort.
I believe that any man (apart from like Hitler or Leopold and people like that) deserves a second chance and it is almost always possible to change, from my humanist perspective.
People wishing Jax dead, deleted, tortured, or whatever else just because they think he's an asshole or because they like Gangle a bit too much is breaking my heart. What happened to empathy? Forgiveness? Jax is a lost and depressed person, and even with his borderline abuse and "throwing Ragatha in the deep frier", he more than anyone needs help, understanding, and sympathy (none of which he got from anyone except maybe Pomni). But even with that, e v e r y, s i n g l e, p o s t and commenter wants him dead and humiliated down to an animal.
Is this not what makes us human? Our actions, feelings, and a duty to help each other?
Edit: the fact that I'm even posting this here instead of the main sub, because I know that I'll be destroyed there.
Extra edit: another thing that people also do is humiliating him and making him "unredeemable". I like maid Jax a lot, but at one point making fun of the character for his frail mask of masculinity is more out of spite than for fun. Same goes for people who frame him as "unredeemable" without any explanation.
