NSV: Middle Aisle clothes fit me!

Aldi or Lidl do good value work / garden / outdoor clothes; which I have never been able to fit into.

Well I took a chance & bought some stuff about two months ago when they were on post special sale (got one pair of trousers for €2!).

As expected they were a wee bit too tight when I tried them on.

But I pulled them out this morning & to my joy & delight they fit perfectly! - cue a little gardening dance :)

Hilarious non-NSV

My cat cannot cope with my changed shape!

In the last 10 minutes she has repeatedly launched herself on to my lap, kneaded a bit, twisted and turned and tried to get comfy & then jumped down, only to try again seconds later.

Where's that big soft comfy lap gone?!

Sing along with me! No longer obese :)

I'm no longer obese,

I'm no longer obese,

I might still be overweight,

But I'm no longer obese!

NSV - Apron strings

Don't normally bother with an apron, but had nice clothes on this morning for going out & didnt want to accidentally get something on them.

And I had to cross the strings & bring them round the front! Did a little kitchen dance :)

Pricing & NI

Picked up 6 x 5mg pens in NI yesterday.

Here's how the costs worked out.

6 x 5mg = €1314.90

say €1315 to make the sums easier.

20% tax back: €263

Net cost: €1052

Per pen cost: €175.33

(charged in GBP, the € figure is what was debited to my account)

_Travel cost:_

Depends where you are coming from of course.

Dublin->Newry by train is less than €25 return (or find a relative who has free travel ;) )

EV driving same distance around €12 for full charge (overnight rate).

Petrol (estimate) €25 /€30

The highest travel cost would bring your per pen cost to €180 per pen after tax refund.

Another NSV

Feeling a tad dejected this morning as scales haven't moved for 2 weeks.

So counting up my NSVs instead - all the usuals, can cut my toenails, stand up without shuffling my bum / leaning on the arm rest, new clothes (yay!), cheerfully do a 10-12k hike.

Then discovered a new one this morning, that I hadn't even realised I was doing!

Standing on one foot to put shoes & socks on - three cheers for MJ!

NSV - just finished a box of chocolates

Hear me out!

Was given a 700g box of chocs on 15th Dec (a week after I started MJ) & 20 or so weeks later I've eaten the last one :)

Better still I enjoyed my occasional choccy & a cuppa instead of mindlessly scoffing the lot in a few days.

Now to put my sewing kit in a new tin ;)

Milestones / markers / treats

I see lots of folks celebrating 'Onederland' and similar (which they certainly should!).

When I started on MJ, I made a conscious decision *not* to have a goal weight.

Instead I set a series of Milestones, that were meaningful to me, each one of which I would mark with a treat of a new book / day out / trip whatever.

So my milestones were

#1 10kg down *done*-> two new books (and 2x heated throws!)

#2 90kg weight *done*-> walking holiday booked

#3 20kg down *done* -> new summer outfit & maybe some stuff for my walking holiday

#4 84kg weight -> no longer obese, thinking day trip to London?

#5 80kg weight -> I haven't seen this figure on a scale for 30+ years. (still can't quite believe that it might actually be achievable)

Anyway, the point of my post is to ask for suggestions of what my future treats might be?

And I'm using the word 'treat' deliberately as we've all let it be associated with food (usually sweet & high calories) and I want to reframe it in my own head as a reward that is not food related.

Milestone #3 reached -20kg

Just this morning reached my Milestone #3!

Saw 86kg on the scales for the first time; so 20kg down :)

Delighted! Haven't decided what my treat will be, possibly a new summer outfit? :)

Milestone #4 is not far off - 84kg gets me to overweight, rather than obese.
