32M Banking BA from Qatar moving alone for VUW Master’s in Business Analytics — sanity check on flatting, part-time work, and the NZ Fintech market?

As the title says, I am considering taking up a Master's in Business Analytics from VUW.

A little background about me:

Indian, Male, 32 YO, Happily Married with a 2YO son.

Currently working a 9-5 job as a Business analyst at a major bank in Doha, Qatar. Life has been pretty stagnant and nothing exciting exists here. I was hoping to acquire some deeper and industry relevant knowledge in my field and with some research found out that the MBusAn suits perfectly for my line of work.

What I need to know is.

  1. How is life in VUW for someone like me?

  2. How does the accomodation market work. Is it going to be very expensive?

  3. How is the part time job culture? Is it hard to find partime jobs?

  4. Most importantly, how is the job market for Business analysts in Fintech over there. I do understand that majority of the large Fintech groups are located in Auckland and I do have a plan to move there once the course finishes.

TLDR;

Currently working as a banking BA in Doha. Moving to Wellington alone to do the Master of Business Analytics (MBusAn) at VUW, with the plan to bring my wife and 2YO son over once I finish and secure a role in Auckland's Fintech sector. Looking for realistic feedback on single/flatting accommodation costs, part-time job prospects for an experienced corporate BA, and current tech market conditions.

Thank you for your responses in advance good people. Have an amazing day/night.
