Is it normal for my Banana Plant to lose bottom leaves as new ones grow?

Hi everyone! This is my first time posting. I have this Banana Plant indoors; it just survived the winter and gets sunlight every day through a window. I’ve noticed that for every new leaf it grows, one or two of the bottom ones die off. Is this normal?

​For context:

​Light: Daily sunlight (indoors, through glass).

​Watering: I water it every day.
