Hey there,

I'm really looking for advice as I'm so unsure what happens from here.
So I broke down, managed to pull into a garage and parked in a space that looked like a pull up parking spot, a short distance away from the fuel pumps.

I parked there as there where no other spaces, and no signage saying 'no parking'.

Stupidly, being in a panic I left my vehicle for some time, without telling a member of staff about my breakdown.

I was just in a haze of anxiety and made that mistake, however I did attempt to call the number of the garage around 6 times - to no answer after I realised that I should inform them.

As I came back to my car, a man came out hot, already shouting about how I'd been parked there too long, and he was unable to take a fuel delivery because of me, stated he'd lost £3000 and that he was going to charge me £300 or £1000 (he threw around a few numbers) for doing this.
He said the MFG group would be the ones who would fine/ 'invoice' me.

I tried to apologise, and said I'd been calling him a lot, he said that's not good enough and I should have told him in person and he would have helped me move the car to a EV charging space.

I'm unsure what to do from here, I'm assuming he will try to get in contact somehow? Which is also super inconvenient as I moved house 3 days ago and have no fixed adress currently.

I feel so stupid, and that this could have cost me a fair bit of money. I'll happily pay the fine if that's what is right, I'm just looking for what my next steps are.

Thankyou so much.
