Need some advice regarding a tenancy situation in Brent, London.

Been renting the same flat for 12 years. Landlord served a Section 21, but Brent Council later confirmed the property required a selective licence and no licence/application was in place, making the notice invalid.

Landlord has now backed away from possession proceedings and wants us to sign an agreement saying we won’t bring tribunal/court claims against them.

Has anyone dealt with something similar? Especially around RROs, licensing or landlords trying to settle quietly?
