I want to get into reading novels, and I want something dark, disturbing, atmospheric, and horror-focused. Horror is my favorite genre, especially stories with small towns, ancient evil, psychological horror, creepy mysteries, and a constant feeling that something is wrong beneath the surface.

I recently watched Welcome to Derry, and I want books with a similar vibe , eerie atmosphere, terrifying lore, unsettling characters, and dark secrets.

I’m also a completely new reader, so I’d prefer novels that are:

Easy to read for beginners

Fast-paced and immersive

I want a fantasy novel with action, romance, and kingdom building. I want the power system to feel unique and interesting, not generic. I also want the romance to develop slowly over time instead of happening instantly. It would be great if the story shows the characters growing older together, having children, and dealing with responsibilities as parents and rulers.
