Only the top or bottom tray?

Has anyone ever done Invisalign on just their top teeth or bottom teeth (not both)? My top teeth are perfectly straight, but my bottom row is crowded and needs to be fixed.

I’m hesitant to use a tray on my top teeth because they’re already straight and my front two teeth are fake (one is a crown and one is a veneer). I’m terrified that my top teeth shifting even the slightest bit will cause one of my fake teeth to crack. I’ve spent a lot of money on those teeth.

I start next week with trays on the top and bottom, but now I’m a little worried even though my dentist said it’s fine to use Invisalign on crowns and veneers.

Starting Invisalign Next Week

I’m starting Invisalign next week and I’m nervous but excited. I have always hated the crowding I have on my bottom teeth. My treatment plan is for 17 weeks and I really hope it ends at that because I found out I’m pregnant the week after signing up for my payment plan. Now I’m dreading wearing these through the majority of my pregnancy. I really hope/need to be done after 17 weeks so that I’m not wearing them in my third trimester.

How common is it to have more trays added after the end of your initial treatment plan?
