Would you rather have a special teams unit that is completely mediocre but mistake free or a special teams unit thats boom or bust and gives you touchdowns and great field positions but also costs you at times
Option 1 mistake free special teams unit but completely mid
- Punting: Net average is NFL 41 yards which is the current average
- Kick returns get back to 30 yard-35 yard line nothing more nothing less
- Punt returns get an average 10 yards nothing more nothing less
- Your kicker is automatic from inside 45 and extra points, 45-50 yards is a 75 % chance, 50-55 is a 60% chance and 55-60 is a 50% chance and he cant kick anything beyond 60
- Your punt and kick return coverage team is completely mediocre average and doesnt allow any touchdowns or big returns but also doesnt give u good field position
- Most important no muffed punts or blocked kicks or big returns or anything
Option 2 explosive and boom or bust special teams
- Punting: Your punter will either give you excellent booming punts that go inside to the opponents 5 yard or shitty 30 yard punts
- You will get plenty of long kick returns throughout the year including 5 kick off return tds a year but you will also get some shitty kick returns that make u start from your own 20 and your kick returner will fumble quite a bit as well
- Punt returns: You will get good punt returns consistently including 3 touchdowns, but some bad returns and fumbles as well
- Kicking: Your kicker is 75% on all kickers from anywhere inside the 65 including extra points, he can also hit 2 70 yarders a year
- Your kick and punt return units will either give you big hits landing in great field position and fumbling the opposing ball carrier or give up good field position
What would you rather have
