Chicken bones in a vegetarian food!

Hey, I really need some genuine help. I ordered mushroom biryani from a well-known restaurant on Zomato, which I regularly order from. I’m a pure vegetarian by choice and by religiously specifically ordered mushroom biryani, but there were chicken/mutton pieces in it. My friend noticed it after eating a piece and immediately told me.

I went to the restaurant myself with the biryani and showed it to them. What shocked me even more was one of the staff literally saying “phir se aaya” — meaning this has apparently happened before. I’m honestly devastated and angry.

I have the order details and evidence, and I’ve already filed a consumer complaint through WhatsApp, but I’m not sure how effective that is. I genuinely want to take legal action and make sure they are held accountable.

If anyone has experience with consumer cases or food-safety complaints in India, please tell me what I should do next.
