Is laser hair removal safe for all skin types?

This is a common and important question to ask. Yes, it’s safe for all skin types, but it depends on the technology used.

Historically, lasers worked best on lighter skin with darker hair. However, newer technologies have made it possible to safely treat a much wider range of skin tones.

The type of laser and your provider’s experience both matter. They should assess your skin using the Fitzpatrick scale to choose the safest and most effective settings for you. For example, lasers like the Nd:YAG are commonly used for darker skin tone.

The trade-off no one talks about with hair removal…

Every method has one.

Shaving is quick but constant.
Waxing lasts longer but isn’t exactly relaxing.
Laser is a process but long-term.

What’s the trade-off you’ve noticed most with the method you’re doing right now?
