I let ground beef thaw for 3 hours
I let it thaw in cool water on my counter and it’s still partially frozen. I’ve had a long day, so I’m too tired to cook now. I was going to throw it in the fridge to cook tomorrow, but I’m not sure if that’s safe. I know you’re not supposed to leave meat out longer than 2 hours l, but meat is still frozen after two hours and when I put it in the fridge to defrost, it’s still completely frozen by the next day.
I should add I tried to defrost this meat the other day, but put it back in the freezer after about ten minutes because I made chicken instead. In the time I noticed the package was leaking so there must have been a whole. Idk if that makes a difference lol
