Trying to build a cozy lurk-friendly Twitch channel

Hi everyone,

I’m a very new Twitch streamer trying to build a small cozy/lurk-friendly channel. I deal with heavy social anxiety, so I’m still learning how to talk more on stream and make the channel feel welcoming even when I’m quiet.

For people who started from zero: what helped you improve your stream, get more comfortable talking, and slowly build a real community?

Trying to build a cozy lurk-friendly Twitch channel

Hi everyone,

I’m a very new Twitch streamer and I’m trying to slowly build a small, cozy community around my channel.

My Twitch name is weakgerl. I mostly stream games like Stardew Valley and other chill/cozy games. I’m also dealing with pretty heavy social anxiety, so my streams can sometimes be quiet or more lurk-friendly. I still want to give streaming a real try because I love gaming, and I think it could help me build confidence and have something positive to focus on.

I would honestly appreciate advice from other small streamers, especially about:

- how to make quiet/lurk-friendly streams more welcoming

- how to get better at talking on stream when you are anxious

- how to make my Twitch page look more inviting

- what kind of titles/panels/commands help new viewers feel comfortable

- how to slowly grow without being annoying or spammy

If anyone has experience starting from zero, especially while being nervous on camera or mic, I’d really appreciate your tips.

Thank you, and good luck with your streams too :)

Trying to build a cozy lurk-friendly Twitch channel

Hi everyone,

I’m a very new Twitch streamer and I’m trying to slowly build a small, cozy community around my channel.

My Twitch name is weakgerl. I mostly stream games like Stardew Valley and other chill/cozy or random games.

- how to get better at talking on stream when you are anxious

- how to make my Twitch page look more inviting

- what kind of titles/panels/commands help new viewers feel comfortable

- how to slowly grow without being annoying or spammy

If anyone has experience starting from zero, especially while being nervous on camera or mic, I’d really appreciate your tips.

If anyone wants to check the channel and give feedback, it’s twitch.tv/weakgerl.

Thank you, and good luck with your streams too :)
