What episode!?
Help me identify this SVU episode—I've been trying to figure it out for hours!
I'm hoping someone with an encyclopedic SVU memory can help because this is driving me crazy.
Here's what I remember (some details may be slightly off, but I'm pretty confident about most of them):
- It is definitely Law & Order: SVU (I've never watched Chicago P.D., FBI, etc., except for crossover episodes).
- I believe the undercover detective is Amanda Rollins, but it could possibly be Olivia Benson.
- The detective goes undercover as a newly trafficked victim (not an escort or prostitute).
- I don't think she originally had permission to go undercover, or at least it wasn't part of the initial plan.
- She ends up living with several other trafficked girls in what looks like an old institutional building—almost like an abandoned hospital, school, or mental health facility. I remember dingy white/blue walls.
- The girls wear casual clothes (tank tops, T-shirts, jeans/leggings), not matching outfits or lingerie.
- She becomes close to one particular teenage girl she's trying to protect.
- The trafficker/ringleader is a white man who speaks another language (possibly Eastern European/Russian/Albanian/Serbian—I can't remember exactly).
- At one point one buyer comes to choose a girl. The trafficker lines all the girls up, and the buyer slowly walks down the line looking at each of them before selecting the undercover detective.
- I originally thought the buyer was Carisi, but now I'm not sure. It could have been Fin, Amaro, Cassidy, Murphy, or another male detective posing as a wealthy buyer.
- I remember the buyer wearing a nice suit, and I think the undercover detective says something like "You clean up nice."
- After she's chosen, they're taken into a private room (or possibly a room with a window in the door), where they can quietly exchange information while pretending everything is normal.
I've already ruled out:
- S9E15 "Undercover" (the prison episode)
- S16E15 "Undercover Mother"
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Or am I somehow combining two different SVU episodes into one memory?
