North cascades

Hi friends,

I’m taking my first national Park road trip in early June, and I was really set on going to the North Cascades, but haven’t booked anything yet.
Seeing major road closures in the park and they’re not expected to open until July? Does this completely erase the idea of going here for June? Or is it still worth the trip? If so any alternatives?

Recommend?

Any recommendations for an early June, 5 day national park trip?
I was really in on Olympic but prices are slightly outside my budget right now, same with Yellowstone or Teton. And don’t know if I want my first time to be ruined if weather is bad.

I’m mainly into:
- mountain scenery
- photography
-not deadly hot weather

Rocky and smoky seem like good picks as well. Smoky is only a 12 hour drive and could make a road trip out of it. Any recommendations or inputs is great!
