Is the Fairphone for me?
I'm currently looking for a new phone, and I'm deciding between the Fairphone 6 and a Pixel 9/10a.
What's important for me:
- overall functioning of the phone (no bugs, no bloatware etc)
- Camera
- long updates
- battery
- price
- environmental responsibility
I've been reading quite a bit and what I see a lot:
- Fairphone 6 has a lot of bugs, and patching them takes a long time
- Camera is not good (especially in comparison to Pixel 9/10a)
Is that (still) true?
It mostly comes down to the price for me. I can buy a second hand (refurbished) Pixel for about €320, a fairphone 6 on the other hand, cheapest I can find is €480 (I can't find any second hand/refurbished)
It doesn't feel like that price difference is worth it, if the above mentioned things are still true with the Fairphone.
What are your thoughts? Are there other things I should take into consideration?
