Just finished watching S3 episode 2 I'm very conflicted
This episode had me thinking alot on which side was truly in the wrong. At first I thought Mark was tripping then as he shared his feelings more and more I really began to understand why he thought what Cecil was doing was fucked up. But on the other side of the argument I can also understand Cecil's side. Cecil's goal is to save as many lives as possible. He knows Mark can only do so much until he'll have to go on to the next option to save the world and I can't blame Cecil for thinking that way. I also understand why he put the chip in Mark's head, ngl I think I would've done the same thing. Cecil is scared of Mark and rightfully so but there is nothing wrong with being afraid. A wise man once said fear keeps people alive and I believe Cecil understands that ideology. The guardians division also had me conflicted as well, both sides had very solid points and I couldn't necessarily take one side over the other. Yea Cecil planted a chip in his head and yes that was wrong but Mark did prove him right by almost killing him by letting his emotions get the better of him. Personally if I had to choose between letting Mark live and Cecil die or Mark dies and Cecil lives, I'm choosing Cecil. He is one the smartest men on the planet who is doing most of the intel work to keep the planet safe. If it wasn't for Cecil, Mark and his family would've been dead a long time ago. It is still very fucked up that he is letting the villains who have killed innocent people just have redemption arcs like nothing happened but I can't fault the man for doing it, no matter how much it hurts the victims of said Villains. At the end of the day it's about saving lives not being the good guy, and I think I resonate with Cecil's argument more than Mark's. What's your guy's opinion on this?
