Anyone else think it’s unfair that they disbanded and reshuffled all the jr groups besides the ones that Ohkura created?

I even saw a report from one of that group being so confident that they will stay together as though Ohkura promised he would never break them up.

What gives? Isn’t that preferential treatment?

I’m sorry for venting here but I’m just so heartbroken. What is the difference between those groups and the groups they dissolved?

One of the reasons why MJ is beloved is because he paid tributes to those who inspired him and gave back to them especially Black legends and pioneers who were taken advantage of in the early days of the industry.

1. Jackie Wilson - Many MJ fans know Jackie Wilson was the other man who inspired him as a performer besides James Brown. There are stories of young Mike standing behind the curtains at venues like the Apollo Theater to watch Jackie Wilson but I had no idea he stepped in to pay for Jackie Wilson’s tombstone and funeral when he passed.

2. David Ruffin of the Temptations - Mike paid for his funeral and sent flowers.

3. Little Richard - Mike gave him back his music rights and called him the true king of rock n roll.

4. Sly and Family Stone - Mike wanted to give him his music publishing rights for free in return for Sly to go to rehab but unfortunately Sly declined it. However, Sly has always been grateful to Michael for that. Also apparently the estate did eventually partnered with Sly to give him his rights later on.

5. Barry White - Michael helped significantly with his hospital, memorial and funeral cost.

Any other stories y’all know? Many of these I just found out recently too.
