Generic Sliced Bread Sandwich Ideas?
I usually always have generic Supermarket sliced white bread at home. I just find this to be the easiest for morning toast, grilled cheese, etc.
I would have nicer breads at home but they just don't keep well for very long.
Can anyone suggest any good sandwich ideas for regular generic sliced white bread?
My current idea which my wife loves:
toast the bread
spread ricotta, dijon mustard, olive oil, dried dill, finely minced capers
microwaved (slightly renders the fat) salami and honey ham
pickled red onions
(it's sorta like a crostini i guess)
