So my setup is a very goofy one for a small niche but wondering if I can use an hdmi source into the receiver but use the corresponding RCA inputs for the audio. (Example: Game HDMI input for video + Game Red/White for audio) Hope that makes sense. Secondly can I then send the audio from that source to a Line out / Zone 2?
I assume this is my best bet since previously I was trying to set my line out / zone 2 to an HDMI source but this receiver will only send analog signals to zone 2 and not digital (hdmi)
One negative I assume from doing this would be instead of true surround sound from HDMI running the audio I would then be in stereo audio since the audio then comes from RCA (Left/Right) can anyone confirm if this is the case or not?
