I just started and I posted a few days ago about getting an ugly stick combo as my first set. Yall had so many nice and informational comments and I ended up with this set up here. It’s the Pflueger president 20 reel on a Pflueger monarch ultra like 2pc 5’6” and boy did it deliver. Fought this monster on the third cast! I’m HOOKED on fishing now 🎣 🪝 🐟

Im looking to buy my first pole. I don’t know a lot but I was talking with my dad who knows a good amount about all types of fishing. I was thinking of getting this ugly stick. I just plan on fishing small ponds, rivers and creeks. I’m looking for any tips or recommendations. Thanks yall!
