Hi everyone! This is the first protest poster I’ve ever made, so I’m not sure whether the design turned out as well as I hoped. I created it to express my opposition to the growing use of minimalism, ultraminimalism, flat design, and related aesthetics. After Instagram and other developers changed their logos and designs toward a more minimalist aesthetic about a week ago, I felt even more motivated to speak out. If these styles continue replacing more detailed, expressive, and distinctive designs, we are free to peacefully protest, voice our opinions, and advocate for alternatives—in public spaces, online, or elsewhere. We want more soul, depth, color, texture, beauty, identity, and personality in design!
