Hello! I was walking my dog this morning and found a moth outside my apartment that seems to not be moving (been 2 hours since I first spotted it). I wanted to know how I could tell if it is dead so I can collect and pin it (without killing it myself). Also what species is this?

Location: Central Illinois
Sidenote: it is very windy today so i think the wings have been moved by the wind rather than itself.
