After being out of grooming for about 13 years, I'm going to slowly inch my way back into it. I'm helping at a private grooming shop and I'm thinking about opening my own thing as well. I specialize in Australian Shepherds (my dog breed, currently have four) so I've stayed up to date on desheads, deep baths, feet trimming ect. We discovered yesterday that I still have the muscle memory on shave downs. So I'm looking to rebuild my kit after all these years. Back when I groomed Andis was the top blades. I want to know what tools everyone recommends after all this time. I still have all my shears, and I've kept them sharpened over the years so those don't need to be replaced. I want to know what brands are good and what brands to stay away from. I'm good on shampoos and such. I only use Pet Silk brand there.
