Feral cat meowing after having kittens, is there hope?

I am an experienced TNR person but this has stumped me.

We got called Wednesday (two weeks ago) to trap a very pregnant cat. Went there Thursday night during her usual feeding time, cat did not show. She came back Sunday, clearly not pregnant anymore.

I went there, every night for the last week, followed her around, looking into peoples garden. No dice

Didn't go Sunday or today.

The feeder is now telling me she is going around meowing like "she is looking for something" but that person has no experience with cats. However, the cat is at best feeder friendly so any vocalisations are a concern IMO.

To be in heat seems early after less than two weeks of giving birth.

There are Badgers and foxes in the area.

If the kittens are dead, I want her trapped asap to avoid mastitis.

Would you go and trap her? Wait longer?

I don't want to trap her while there is a chance that they are still alive
