Has anybody been told they need re-tested?
So I went to a new doctor after starting to have very frequent symptoms during stress. History: I From a young age I would sit on the couch and fall asleep while playing video games, during movies, at dinner, when things got dull, staring at a computer, you get the gest. I thought this was normal. Just like I thought it was normal to have pins and needles and burning in your feet after running. Now I know it's not. When I got my drivers license I started having issues and would get an overwhelming exhausted feeling come over me and sometimes I didn't. I remember and it still happens now. I will pull up to a light and it will be just turning red blink and it's green. That's almost a minute. Sometimes it's a horn honking and I just continue my business. After being forced to leave a job because I didn't remember who I was after coming out of an episode I was finally tested for sleep apnea and narcolepsy. Something interesting happened during testing. I was in RIM and answering questions and they were really interested in the how. At points they come over the intercom and ask if you are asleep and don't expect an answer well I answered. I was diagnosed in 2014 with Type II Narcolepsy. I had a very good doctor then he retired, then I went on LTD and lost said insurance. I have Bradychardia with articles of Atrial Fibrillation so I can't take the regular medications so I tried to do it on my own through diet change and sleep pattern changes. That didn't work. Now we are to today. I tried to find a Narcolepsy specialist and they are mainly ENTs. Getting down to it, I went them and they said I don't think you have narcolepsy. How long has it been since you've been tested. I was offended because I live with this. It's not like I come in and go "How long have you been a doctor? You need re-tested." It genuinely did not make me feel comfortable. What are everybody's thoughts on needing to get retested after getting a clear diagnosis
