I built Autica, an offline-first app to track vehicle maintenance and fuel consumption
Hi everyone! I'd like to share my "side project" with you. I'm a programmer and, since I found it a bit of a hassle to keep track of my car's maintenance in an Excel sheet, I built Autica.
The idea is an offline-first app (your data stays on your phone) to track services like oil changes, filters, and timing belt replacements. It also allows you to keep a log of your fuel consumption.
Key features:
- Technical Reports: The app generates a clean PDF report with your entire accumulated history.
- Resale Value: Perfect for showing a potential buyer that you've been a responsible owner. It adds significant value when selling the car.
- Insurance/Audits: Ideal for having all your documentation handy for insurance purposes or technical inspections.
The business model:
I wanted to keep it transparent. The first vehicle is 100% free with all features included. If you manage a fleet (logistics or multiple cars), you can add more units for a small, one-time payment.
