Start from an earlier biome

Teleport one or two biomes before your current objective (or start from biome 1 - just walk out the door instead of teleporting): this is the main thing that makes the game a breeze. The upgrade tree and unlocking the grappling hook for the additional rewards make the first biome easier and easier. Your artifacts and weapons, stat enhancers (these are dropped by enemies), and most importantly your proficiency level will carry over. At high proficiency the weapons dropped are incredibly overpowered (artifacts are improved too). By the time you can use overdrive and destroy yellow walls the first biome will be completely trivial

Focus on weapon scaling, not level

This is much more important than weapon level. Next to each of your weapon's stats you'll see 0 to 3 lit up arrows which determine how much it will benefit from your stats. A low level weapon with these arrows will usually be much more effective than a high level one without them

Maximize your drive stat

This will drastically increase proficiency gain, which is the easiest way to feel overpowered. It is especially ridiculous when you carry over your drive stat by starting from an earlier biome. Meleeing enemies will also increase lucenite gain and proficiency gain with an early node in the skill tree. Always activate the eclipse for additional lucenite

Use the third level +damage modifier

This is easily balanced out with a couple of negative modifiers and substantially increases your damage output

Following these tips you'll likely only struggle with the first boss. In my case every boss after the second took one attempt. Hopefully it helps some of the people finding the game too difficult
