WWE 2K should temporarily reactivate old online servers before shutting them down for good
I really think WWE 2K needs to stop shutting down online servers for previous games so quickly, especially when so much custom content depends on them.
At the very least, they should do a temporary server reactivation period for older games. Even just 1 or 2 weeks would help a lot. That would give players one last chance to download their Community Creations, custom Superstars, arenas, championships, images, and anything else they want to preserve.
A lot of players put hours, days, or even years into their custom content. Once the servers are gone, people lose access to creations they may never be able to get back. Not everyone knows exactly when the shutdown is happening, and some people come back to an older game only to find out it is already too late.
A “final call” server event would be a fair compromise. 2K could announce it ahead of time, turn the servers back on for a short period, let players restock and back up their custom stuff, and then shut them down again afterward.
Players paid for these games. They should get one last real chance to save their content before the online features disappear permanently.
