On the rugby pod Jim Hamilton mentioned there's chat about a British and Irish League or Prem/URC without South African clubs. Hypothetically speaking (ignoring the logistics because I imagine it's a no go) would you have a 21 team league: 10 English 4 Irish 3 Welsh 2 Scottish 2 Italian. Everyone plays 20 league games (10 home, 10 away) and a playoff from there? Or would you have two divisions of maybe 12 each, entertaining promotion and relegation? Feels like there's a lot you could do with around 20 - 24 teams.

I was just watching the highlights from the Saints Bristol game and it looks like Dowson leaked McParland getting called up for the England squad in his post match interview. Does anyone know how big the squad will be? Spencer, JVP and Mitchell are all fit so there will be a fairly big omission if it's the usual 3 scrum halves.
