Longggg blocks

I teach physical science to 9th graders and I have 90 minute blocks.

How do you structure your day/week?

I am struggling with having that much time and keeping a predictable routine

First year teachers first summer!

Hi everyone!
I just finished my first year teaching 8th grade science. It was very stressful all year, I was constantly busy, and working nonstop.

Now that it’s summer I have nothing going on. And it’s making me go nuts!!!

The first couple of weeks I did a lot of organizing, but now I just feel sick. For the past two weeks I’ve been just wanting to sleep and feeling lethargic. I’m not sick, I think my body just is so confused how we went from cortisol overload to not having anything to do.

I’m also working online for my masters and it feels IMPOSSIBLE to muster up any strength from my brain to get things done.

Is anyone else experiencing this? For the veteran teachers- how much longer of this? lol? It’s such a weird feeling!! I miss being busy!

Any advice or words are appreciated!!
