Hi guys! I have a (previously) sweet mustache parakeet who’s now entering his terrible 2s. We got him from a bird sanctuary and he was the sweetest little thing ever. In the past month he’s gotten very cage aggressive and territorial. I went through this with my conure but this guy packs a bigger bite.
There have been some major changes in his schedule. We got a dog and while we’re figuring things out I changed his schedule a bit and he stays more in the bird room. As of right now he’s getting more cage time than before, but i’ve been trying to start over with him. It took him almost 3 weeks to trust me and I miss my old shoulder buddy.
I’ve been through this before and I know I can do it again, but does anyone have any tips on how to navigate all this?
