First this game has genuinely resparked my interests in flight sims, ordered a new hotas and track ir to replace my broken ch gear(They've served me well for 12 years o7). Absolutely loving it even solo pve.

This game feels like a good balance in sim and arcade, and the systems are way more detailed than I was expecting, really hats off to the devs here. Incredible game for the value.

Very unique experience you can't really get elsewhere, and doing solo escalation is one of the most blood pumping things if you just want to focus on doing cas stuff. Cause until you knock out them radars and shards, good luck staying above 100ft. Dipping and diving in a-19 with 4 irs and 3 fox 3s on the way over a convoy with an anvil in it is something special.

Although I prefer the slower and more measured playstyle from Arma/DCS, this is an absolute blast and can modify or make missions to facilitate a slower playstyle. If you know of any missions that are cas heavy(especially chicane) or more slower in nature let me know! Been digging through the steam workshop and grabbing a few but haven't tried them yet.

Feedback:

  1. Chicane flight model (Airframe I've spent the most time in so far)
    1. Somethings feels off about the VRS state, multiple times I've induced a vortex with no real cause. I notice it most when I'm in a single plane movement in gentle descents around 150fpm or less, like during a braking nose pull maneuver with a slight collective drop even though I'm over 100knts. Not really cranking either, usually 10-15* aoa and dropping the collective from 50% to 35-40%. The fast descent ones are 100% my fault though lol
    2. Tail rotor authority feels weak however this may be my throttle stick going out(axis is going brrr and it doesn't hold to center anymore) so going to wait for my new gear to show up to check again
  2. AGM-48
    1. These seem to be based around the hellfire, same warhead weight and overall design but are really ineffective on a top down MBT attack, when they should be very effective from that position.
    2. Seems you can kill them only from the rear at the moment, side on/top down don't work consistently. Side on I could understand a bit, but top down? Not so much.

Feature request:

  1. Trim settings
    1. The A-19 and Chicane are surprisingly tanky, but flying back missing half your control surfaces manually keeping her level suckkkkkkkkks
  2. I would love a functional TGP, doesn't need to be full fidelity, but something along the lines of VTOLVR and Arma would be a good middle ground, this is still a big ask however
    1. Not required for weapon deployment, but can be used if preferred when trying to target a specific thing this way it's still controller and mk+b friendly and more of an optional function
    2. I find I have issues using head tracking to specifically select targets that are overlapping in icons even with them disabled in the hud settings(where the red square will still show but not the main ID icon)
    3. Example being able to slew a tgp to manually select an IR sam that's right behind an MBT would be nice.
  3. Being able to deselect a specific target
    1. Button to cycle through your select targets so you can deselect that specific one and not most recent
    2. Perfect example is when there's a radar site being protect by 2 AAA, an Anvil, IR Sam, and the Radar itself
    3. Being able to go through and cycle after selecting all to remove the AAA to focus down the bigger threats with some AGMs or whatever to be more efficient with munition deployment
    4. This is easier to implement than Suggestion #2 and can work to solve that issue
