Looking for hidden gem stays in Sicily (Agriturismi, farm stays, unique Airbnbs)
Hi everyone!
My wife and I are planning a 13-day road trip around Sicily this August. Instead of changing hotels every day, we're thinking of staying in 3–4 different places across the island and doing day trips from each base.
We're not really looking for big hotels or resorts. We'd love to stay somewhere with a bit more character—family-run agriturismi, old farmhouses that have been converted into guesthouses, working farms where you can actually experience local life, or any unique Airbnb that really stood out to you.
We're especially interested in places that felt authentic rather than touristy. If you discovered a hidden gem during your own trip, we'd love to hear about it!
If you have one or two places that you would absolutely recommend, we'd really appreciate it.
Thanks a lot! 🇮🇹🚗
