Law enforcement activity on evergreen way Friday

It was actually Thursday afternoon 😤 can't change the title. I was northbound on evergreen looking east at the on ramp to 526. A very complicated set of intersections were backed up Friday afternoon around 1:30pm. Dude on the ground looks like he's enjoying life (or not). Definitely cuffed, cop was on foot, didn't see his car or what led up to the encounter with the guy on the ground. Also several police cruisers were southbound on evergreen but made u-turns heading back north, not going to help the officer with the cuffed man. Anybody hear what the commotion was about?

Ground Mount surpassed 50 MWH solar production

Three years in operation in the PNW and our, husband-and-wife-built, 16,750 DC Watts fifty panel array reached a milestone last weekend.

It has produced:

50 Megawatt Hours, or 50,000 Kilowatt Hours, or 50 MILLION Watt hours 😂

Really!!??? Fifty million Watt hours? Sounds like a big, really big, HUGE number, right? In Dollars it amounts to $5,150 in 1:1 net metering. No other local credits or SRECS available in WA. It Hardly justifies its $28,000 construction costs or ten months of work. The ROI is 11-1/2 years based on rosy estimates after the $8,400 federal credit that is not received yet despite filing for it in 2024, can't get any answer from the IRS why it's delayed.

The meter had 28,797 KWH recorded when we installed it in March 2023 so 78,819 - 28,797 = 50,022 KWH.

The system has Twin 10 KW Solar Edge inverters and one failed and needed replacement this year. SE warranted it thankfully saving me the $2,600 replacement cost but the new one has a commissioning issue and won't begin producing 😤 Waiting for SE to fix it. I hope future maintenance is not a big problem.

I'm still leaning towards solar is a waste of money here but you're welcome to change my mind. All thoughtful arguments will receive a reply 😉

Someday I'll showcase the 8.8KW dual axis tracker the wife and I built, stay tuned.
