Cardio Intensity
This may have been asked a ton, if yes, I apologize for asking again.
20’sM and recently getting back into the gym. One thing I’ve always wondered about has been: does heart rate/zone during cardio dictate whether your body burns fat for the exercise or if it burns muscle? And what do you like to do as cardio for your cut?
If the premise of the question is wrong, feel free to correct me!
I’ve been on and off in the gym for years now, but finally have time to be truly consistent and I want to end mostly all of my sessions with some cardio to shave fat off (also will be in a calorie deficit), but I’ve always been worried that if I simply run on a treadmill and hit 170-180bpm (my max is ≈200), I’ll burn muscle.
