Recently, our apartment complex put a letter on our door saying that our unit contains asbestos and to not disturb the walls or ceiling.

Two weeks ago, our bathroom flooded from the unit above us. They took out part of the wall the next day, and have left it for two weeks. Today, maintenance showed up again and took out the ceiling. My partner was home and I was at work when this happened. I am beside myself upset because they obviously know about the asbestos and disturbed the material in our apartment anyway.

I am concerned about asbestos and mold exposure at this point. None of it has been handled by specialists. What can I do?
