I'm gonna be doing it a little differently though. I'm not ranking the routes (would be very different if I did), I'm just ranking the endings themselves and how fulfilling they fill based on the story we see. So the primary things I'll be measuring are character writing, how much sense the ending makes narratively, how purposeful/significant the ending was to the plot, and most importantly, how satisfied I would be if this path was a standalone one without any alternative routes (and by satisfied I don't mean literally happy with the conclusions: just satisfied with the cohesion of the story,obviously I'm not happy to see Nicole and Jecka suffering 😭)

I did indeed take the time to order them by the way,so yes it is in order. I could see a few close switches bout I don't see any tier changes except for potentially 2. Text messages aren't included by the way because I'm too lazy to remember all of them lol

Anyways I love answering so I'm happy to hear what you think and why I have some things so high or low,and also things you yourself would but higher or lower

Oof so here we go. I would be scared of being burnt at the stake by these takes if I didn't realise the main reason people refuse to accept certain things within the series is cause they hate the creator so much. Please note that SOME OF THESE ARE OBVIOUSLY JUST PERSONAL OPINIONS AND I'M NOT PROJECTING THEM AS OBJECTIVELY RIGHT

10%:The suicide pact is the most entertaining story in the entire game

20%: Emily X Nicole is a more suitable ship than Nicole x Jecka. I don't ship either by the way just wanted to throw that in

30%:If another game is actually coming out and stars another character, it should star Emily and its not that close

40%:Nicole isnt actually a misandrist,she's nigh misanthropic

50% Kelly,Nicole,Jecka and Emily are ALL bisexual,no more and no less. Only person who has valid arguments for passing as anything is is Jecka as straight. (Also I think Emily is pansexual I'm just putting it under the bracket of bi)

60%:Jeckas suicide is a top 5 path in the entire franchise and I think it's better than Nicole's suicide/the best route in flip side (I mean Nicole's suicide the flipside POV of course. Nicole's suicide in the og game is the top 1 route for me)

70%: Idk how many of you are anime fans who have knowledge on different kinds of ships, so just know that I wouldn't go as far as calling it a BAD ship,but Jeckole is an obviously toxic ship and many of you are shipping it for the wrong reasons, and that's lowkey the main reason why SOME of you pretend flipside isn't canon. This ship is whats classified as "doomed yuri" by shippers and if you don't agree with that,then I'm sorry but I do not take you remotely seriously at all(Comprehension demons,do not attack me. I very clearly pointed the finger at a specific group. Being both a Jeckole shipper and someone who hates flipside doesn't automatically mean this applies to you. And on that note:)

80%: Flipside Nicole isn't OOC (Out of character)

90%:Genuinely I find it kind of dumb that I have to put something this obvious so high because I know majority of people are gonna disagree,but the feet part isn't "fetish insert" and was important for the plot. Not saying you're not allowed to find it weird because it is,just realise that it is INTENTIONALLY weird and that's almost like THE WHOLE POINTTTTT

100%:Flip side isn’t a bad game at all and the only valid contention is the lack of build up in some scenarios.

And before you even think about saying anything,a single attribute isnt enough to make a "game bad" and just exists as a standalone bad moment or inconsistency. An example is mall cop being on some weird shit in the sex slave ending. Its a shame cause I enjoyed his character but its not something that makes the *game bad*. Especially when it makes logical sense too since it's meant to be a poke at corruption in enforcement.

Anyway feel free to let me know what you think very curious to see if theres somehow a single person who agrees on all 10 lol,and I'm prepared go discuss/debate every take on here so instead of getting pissy and insulting just ask for an elaboration and respond if you have further questions, think I'm still wrong because of xyz, or just to let me know you agree or at *least* understand. I've talked about some takes (90%,70% and 80%) WAY more than others (10%40%50%) here already but that doesn't make me any less confident in defending them. Thanks for reading!

Just finished flip side! Am I the only one who finds it really weird how people say they assassinated Nicole's chatacter and she's so evil and so on and so forth.. like if you saw my very first post here,you'd know that I think Nicole in the re up is way worse or a person than in the original game which kind of surprised me a little,in flip side she's hardly any worse at all,like still cruel as shit don't get me wrong but it feels like a baby step compared to what we see in re up. Re up her is MUCH worse than og her,and flip side her is slightly worse than re up her. Honesty to me they're relative since it's clear she never intended to hurt Jecka to the extent she did,she was just being selfish as fuck with the "she'll get over it" mentality in both of those endings, since Nicole downplayed tf put of Jeckas home situation since she has struggles of her own regarding money. People who say "her flip side variant probably wouldn't care when she found out she died" comcern me. Also she OBVIOUSLY didn't intend to kill Jeffery, and I suspect she even felt slightly guilty since we see her show up at his grave in the ending. Sure she hated him ,wanted him to suffer and took pleasure in it,but she definitely did NOT mean to kill him and only acted the way she did because she knew the consequences were heavy (She could've potentially gotten at the very least 12 years which in itself is a hail mary,and at most life in prison.)

I think MAJORITY of people just dislike that it raises questions about how sincere her friendship with Jecka really is,but you guys DO realise that those questions have been existing since re up? In around half the routes it's literally implied or shown to us that Jecka distances herself,or straight up cuts Nicole off because shes on some genuine bullshit😭 their friendship is messed up and if you remove the aspect of them seeing each other everyday at school and finding common struggles and activities to bond over like being pretty,thinking all the guys and teachers there are weird ugly and gross,smoking and doing drugs, skipping and other stuff,how long do you think they'd REALLY last? Not long at all if you ask me,and re up practically screamed this at us the entire time, and everyones surprised that flip side actually showed us this..

I remember seeing a guy say that they're only friends out of convenience because they're the two prettiest girls,naturally making them become friends. That guy was a genius,pretty said he said this before flip side even came our judging by the date. Plus even Nicole herself suggests something similar.

Am I the only one who dislikes that some people using this ending to scale the morality of the characters in the story? I feel like it's very noticeably implied that everyone confronted by Mr White, rather than recruited with little resistance (such as Jeffrey) was completely brainwashed in the school arson ending. I say this because Nicole tells us that 95% of the school were confirmed White nationalists, teachers included. The school is clearly big on anti-discrimination as we see in the reject Ari route so theres an obvious unrealistically dramatic shift in ideals within.. or we could just assume that 95% of the school isn't normally racist, I think that works as a valid contention too..

Further confirmation is how Ms Lynn seems appalled by it yet states there's no proof so she can't do anything in other timelines, but this isn't stopped at all when there's.. Well,95% of the school involved, and that figure definitely suggests she's part of said 95% too since she obviously has the most power in the school, plus Jeferry states that Nicole is the only girl not apart of it,but he said "girl" not female and Ms Lynn is obviously a woman,so i don't think that point holds well tbh. Doesn't matter much tbh.

But yeah anyway, you could probably tell by now but I don't like how people use this to justify Jecka being a bad person because its very clearly an intentionally out of character moment on her part due to psychological manipulation,or like we could make this simple and use reading comprehension to see how CLEARLY she contradicts her persona and ideologies in that singular route😭 plus there's so many other things you could use to prove that point that are actually consistent with her character

Just started playing class of 09 last week and started the Re up today, Ive only finished 3 endings (one where she sells herself on myspace,The one where she dates Ari and theatre one) and I genuinely find it crazy how much more cruel Nicole is😭 since there's way less opportunities for the player to control her actions it genuinely feels like her using her free will makes her so much worse Lmaoooo
