As another post mentioned, I'm strongly considering an RC1. I usually just get black hardware, but I've been over at r/hhkb and seen all the pics of people with old HHKBs that have acquired some pretty sweet age-related yellowing.

My question: does anyone have any idea if the plastic of the white RC1 would likely acquire such a patina over the years? It seems pretty similar to the HHKB Snow colorway, does anyone have one of those that has started to turn yellow over time?

I imagine the white R3 & R3S are also using similar white plastic, so I'm interested in hearing from owners of those as well.

I suddenly woke up to the notion that I could Topre-fy the keyboard of my M1 Macbook Air, with a combination of the RC1 and the deck linked above.

Has anyone used this combo, though? Does it work in practice the way I think it would work in my head? It's a fairly large outlay to be wrong about, and I'd be using a reship service, so returns might be complicated.

Also, has anyone got any recs on a good carry case for the RC1? I'm pretty sure Realforce don't make one. Something to keep pressure off the domes in transit in a briefcase... don't want squished domes.
