So anytime my mom has to watch our pup (twice now), she’s treated the crate like punishment with our 8 month old pyr/lab, thus what was once a cozy space for her is now a place she is afraid to be entrapped in. Despite begging my mother not to be like this, we needed to rely on her due to a move that is currently in progress (we’re getting the rest of our furniture and pup across state lines this week, thank god). My partner and I have realized we’ll likely have to re-introduce crate training to our girl, especially in a new home. Does anyone have ideas on what to do? We’re getting her a brand new crate for one thing. Tips and tricks (other than keeping her away from my authoritarian mother, which is a no brainer).
