It's my first time DM-ing I also haven't played curse of strahd before. I suggested that one of my players play a light domain cleric who worships the Morninglord and is a descendant of the knight order.

What info should I give him, considering the fact that his character is from Barovia?

So far I've only told him that his ancestors fought against strahd and lost, also suggested that his character joined the church because that was the best option to rebel against strahd.

What should I reveal about the lore without giving him an advantage or a lead? also how can I not make him the main focus of the story?
