I own a Dell Latitude 7430 that has i7-1265u, 16gb soldered ram 3200mhz in it. I also have a TH3P4G3 85watt variant egpu dock, its thunderbolt 3 but using a thunderbolt 4 cable with a Be Quiet! 550watt psu. The GPU I'm currently using is a GTX 1660 Super Pro Gaming OC hooked on a 900p monitor and it never met my expectations but I'm working on accepting that.

I need advice on what GPU to upgrade because I'll be upgrading to a 1080p monitor. I want less cpu overhead and want the GPU to work more lol so I dont get those stutters and hiccups. I also tried borrowing my friends 1080p monitor and the gameplay is not that smooth compared to my 900p monitor.

I'll appreciate any general advice in addition. Thanks!

I meant it in a good way. 1.0 resonators not having a rerun gives in anniversary feels like they are a gem/rarity.

Heck I was planning to get my goat Jiyan for the fun spin to win gameplay but alas we have to wait.
