Ontario first-time buyer here looking in the Burlington/Hamilton area. Can Home Buyers’ Plan money be used for closing costs? Will lenders still pre-approve me if my closing costs are coming from HB funds? Can I rely mostly or entirely on HB if I don’t have much cash saved for closing fees, or do lenders usually require some cash reserves after closing?
