I went to my first salsa class and it was all white people

So I (19m) am a long time dancer, but never tried salsa. I thought I’d try it because I’m Cuban and also trying to learn Spanish, so I thought it could be a fun way to connect with some native speakers and other dancers. Tell me why the whole 20 person class was white millennials. We’re in Florida, so it’s not like there aren’t any Latin people. It was just weird… obviously dance is for everyone at the end of the day, and without those people there might not be a salsa community at all where I live. Is this common? Is salsa predominantly white were you are? Why is this?

I’m honestly just terrified. I can FEEL the slippage in my lower spine.

INFO:

- had back pain for about 6 weeks, ignored it. Got significantly worse yesterday, accompanied by tingling in left leg

- ortho tested nerves, said everything was alright for now, ordered MRI which we’re waiting for.

-pain isn’t full ache in tailbone. 1-2/10 on pain scale. Only flares up when walking for long time. Pretty annoying at night.
