Why is it so hard to find good-looking polarized sunglasses with actually good optics under ₹2k–3k in India?

I’ve spent the last few days researching sunglasses and honestly I’m surprised by how difficult it is to find something that balances ALL of these properly:

  • Good optics / lens clarity
  • Polarized lenses
  • Premium feel
  • Stylish square/wayfarer design
  • Long-term durability (3–5+ years)
  • Reasonable value for money

Initially I checked Vincent Chase, Fastrack, Lenskart etc., but many of them feel heavily marketing/discount focused. A lot of products are always “70% OFF” or “₹2k → ₹1.2k”, but when I actually look closely at the materials, hinges, lens quality, and overall feel, they don’t seem genuinely premium.

Then I started researching Decathlon because many people online say their optics and lens quality are actually better for the price.

But now I’m facing another issue:

The Decathlon sunglasses designs I genuinely LIKE (square/wayfarer style) are often non-polarized.

Meanwhile, the polarized models usually become:

  • rectangular
  • sporty
  • cycling/hiking style
  • less aesthetic for everyday wear

So now I feel stuck between:

  • buying stylish fashion sunglasses with average optics OR
  • buying technically better polarized sunglasses that don’t look as good

I genuinely want something that:

  • looks clean/minimal/premium
  • has proper polarization
  • feels good for daily use in harsh Indian sunlight
  • doesn’t feel like a fake-discount product
  • lasts years without becoming loose or cheap-feeling

Budget: Ideally ₹2k–3k, but willing to stretch slightly if the jump in quality is ACTUALLY noticeable.

So I wanted real opinions from people who’ve already gone through this rabbit hole.

Would really appreciate recommendations from people who’ve used their sunglasses long-term instead of just trying them once in-store.
