Trying to identify nightstand & dresser origin

Over ten years ago got my first apartment and got a nightstand and tall dresser from an antique store. There was a smaller dresser with an attached mirror and bed frame in the set but due to space I couldn’t take those on.

Now I’m looking to offload the two pieces I did get but I couldn’t find a definitive label. Based on the build, I thought potentially Heywood-Wakefield, but not sure.

Here is the front and back. The back is very faded.

Beyond Meat check from Kroll bounced

Not an expired check and I’m pretty good on e-depositing checks. Received last week and attempted to deposit on 8/6 and was returned on the 8/10. Never had an issue like this before. Was only a little over 22 bucks. Anyone have this issue?

Can I realistically make a career change within state civil service?

Sorry to post this amid contract discussions but I’ve been having some issues. Not mentioning current agency or title.

My current position- that’s extremely specialized- unfortunately has very limited transfer options and internally it’s been pretty quiet in available positions, much of what is available is mostly data and tech related- work I know I’m not a fit in- or at an entry level. I’m on the PCO list but like others it feels like canvasses are less frequent than previously. My position as far as career ladder will not be doing the tests for a while- so I’ve been advised that my best opportunities for now are non-agency traineeships.

I’ve been trying to reevaluate if I can realistically make a career change within state service. I’ve been thinking of HR/administrative roles and have tried to focus on specific agencies/office location but I’ve only been interviewed once for that type of position via a canvass and didn’t get it. In my interviews, I’ve been open about the fact I think my skills and background are of better use in the role that I applied for versus my current position that is extremely specialized to that agency. But these interviewers, from what I can glean, seem to be looking for who requires the least amount of training and who has more experience in their office’s type of environment. That’s fine and I’ve told myself enough times that things happen for a reason, I would not have been a good fit, etc. Still, it’s difficult not to feel stuck.

I have a bachelors degree (at times I’ve been wondering if I should do grad school), 10+ years in state service, and I have a lot of non-state related experience in volunteerism and freelance work. I’ve spoken with CS people about how to stand out better as a candidate which included tinkering with my resume. My cover letters have also greatly improved, a lot tighter focus to the agency/office/position. I do think my interviewing skills need some improvement (disclaimer: I’m autistic). I’m worried I missed the boat to do a “career change” and the fact I’m autistic requires more hands-on training than others who are applying.

Not sure if anyone is in or has been in a similar experience. Any tips or recommendations on how to push forward would be appreciated.
