Every post is about negative experiences from Freelancers. What about Clients?

I am a client trying to hire someone and I had an extremely frustrating experience with one person who applied. Also only one from the four listings i had had any proposals. I am reading many posts about how freelancers have terrible experiences but I want to know if any clients also have bad experiences like me. If you’re curious to know more about my negative experience let me know.

New to upwork and not happy with experience so far

Ok so this is a listing for a skyrim mod idea i had for an armor set. Just one armor set. They quoted me $950 which i said okay thats fine even though i thought its a little high i figured so far hes been nice. Then his friend is telling me a small paid test for ONE piece of the armor set for $600… where does that make sense. Then i said u quoted me $950 for the project and he said that was the quote not the budget??? obviously there is a lack of english on their side because that makes 0 sense. Just wasted a day of my time talking to these two guys for nothing. I also got another proposal on another project and immediately the guys account got banned. I wonder if there’s any legit freelancers on upwork or just all scammers. Moved to upwork from fiverr because I got scammed and it seems it’s no different
