Patrons
Table One: a young couple on their first date. The man is awkward and nervous but very chivalrous. The woman is very beautiful, with bright red natural curls, but also somewhat awkward. They start out making small talk but quickly get onto the topic of their favorite movies, as they are both massive fans of Star Wars.
Table Two: daddy-daughter date with a father and his two little girls. The daughters look to be about 8 and 4, but he looks a little older than one would expect. It’s clear that he went all out for this dinner. They are all dressed almost absurdly formally, with the younger daughter in a frilly princess dress and tiara. The girls are excitedly telling their dad about their dance lessons while filling up on table bread.
Table Three: a large family group celebrating boy/girl twins graduating from high school. The boy is tall and athletic-looking, while the girl is short and thin with an eclectic style. The boy brought his girlfriend, a cute, preppy-looking girl. Both twins have dark hair and tan skin and are very close despite being polar opposites. The parents are divorced and each remarried. They are trying to stay cordial, but they clearly can’t stand each other and are getting visibly annoyed. The twins have a younger full brother and a much younger half-sister from their dad. Their stepdad has a college-age son and daughter and a high school-age son. Their brother and younger stepbrother are loudly talking to each other, while the older step-siblings are quiet. Their half-sister sits with her mom, the twins’ stepmom, and complains the entire dinner.
Table Four: a couple in their sixties celebrating their 32nd wedding anniversary. They are clearly still very in love and are very affectionate towards each other. They have somewhat of a hippie vibe, but clean up nice. The husband has bright blue eyes and still has a full head of hair, and the wife has brown eyes and blonde highlights. They talk about which country they want to visit next. He wants to visit China, and she wants to visit Greece. They have a beloved 2-year-old female American bully at home.
Table Five: a family of five going for a nice family dinner. The father uses a wheelchair and was relieved to finally find an accessible restaurant. He wears thin glasses and has a full beard. The mother is a petite, talkative Korean woman. They have two middle school-aged sons and an elementary school-aged daughter. The older son is talkative and theatrical like his mother, while the younger son is quieter and nerdy. The daughter is a tomboy and looks exactly like her father. They spend the majority of their dinner discussing the kids’ hobbies. The oldest plays trombone, the middle is the president of science club, and the youngest plays ice hockey.
Table Six: a group of coworkers on a night out. There are 4 men and 2 women, and they all look to be millennials. They work at the corporate headquarters of a medical distribution company, though they talk surprisingly little about work. They are clearly all slightly drunk and are making plans to do karaoke after dinner. There is palpable romantic tension between one of the men and one of the women, but no one addresses it.
Table Seven: an elderly woman getting dinner with her adult daughter. The mother seems to have some form of dementia, and keeps circling the same few topics of conversation. The daughter is very patient and caring with her mom, but seems slightly overwhelmed. She wonders to herself why her two brothers don’t help out more often, especially after their father died last year. The mother and daughter are the spitting image of each other and share the same dark features.
Table Eight: a gay couple taking their baby daughter to a nice dinner for the first time in an effort to socialize her. She looks to be a year and a half old, and her dads look to be in their mid-30s. One of the dads has brown hair, freckles, and a mustache. He is very muscular and wears a blue button-down. His husband is a quiet pale redhead in a white shirt. He seems to regret his outfit choice as his daughter makes a mess at the table. They contemplate cutting dinner short and vow to stick to McDonald’s dinner outings until their daughter is older.
Table Nine: a group of 6 college women’s tennis players celebrating the end of their season. They already had the full celebratory team dinner, but the 6 of them are best friends and decided to celebrate amongst themselves. They gossip about the team captain, and one of the girls is obviously strongly vying for the position next year. Two of the girls are sisters, but they don’t look particularly similar. One of the other girls is contemplating quitting before next season, but doesn’t want to tell her friends until she makes up her mind.
Table Ten: two brothers catching up. The older one looks to be in his mid-50s, and the younger one looks to be in his late 40s. The older brother settled down in their hometown and is married with a son and a daughter, both in their early 20s. His son is engaged and settled in their hometown, and he and his fiancée are expecting their first baby, a girl. His daughter is in her last year at the state college. The older brother also took over the family concrete business after their father’s death 8 years ago. The younger brother never married and moved to a big city as soon as he could to pursue his degree and a career in art sales. This is his first visit home since the death of their father. The brothers are catching up, but don’t have much else to talk about and truly have nothing in common.
