Living 1 Month in Tashkent from London at 18 My experience

So im still planning to stay here another 2-3 years on a visa ( i only have a british passport sadly and got rid of my latvian last yr due to the 18yr old thing with war if i go there)

I can definetly say living here is still pricy i had my overall spending of 600 pounds witch is about 800 dolars living in Central mirabad.
Luckily my apartment is bought out so no rent was paid.
Transport i use train or bus getting around .on taxi is cheap but spendings add up id rather spend it on food lol.

1 MAIN issue is getting used for money and people trying to be friends with you for money.

when they find out your from london and where you live they think your some millionare in reality im broke lol. and always they talk about money witch is also hella anoying.

witch is why i avoid getting friends here when you tell them you do 50/50 on going out and pay for yourself they slowly get dry and dont want to go anywhere.

And in some places they inflate prices because your a tourist + they say like oh i dont have change witch is biggest bs iv talked to people here tourists from russia and they say thats the biggest scheme to get extra money

Also here its same as london in terms of money they love to spend their paycheck to look rich and wear fakes wich i never understand. its kinda obvious to tell if its fake or not lol.

Anyways food here is AMAZING id be eating shashliks or plov every other day lol the prices here are same basically everywhere its like chicken shop in uk their plov and shashliks.

Shashlik = kebab skewer

Im still trying to find cheap places to eat near the centre since most places are too expensive if you have any recommendations please tell me.

Air quality is deffinetly bad sometimes the dust would get stuck in my throat and you need to cought it out for a solid minute and the dust goes in your eyes.

Going out during day is also basically impossible tip is go out when UV-Index level is bellow 3.

Public transport is very packed and many people smell of sweat and stink please wear deodorant its like 1-2 bucks and lasts a couple weeks

My wifi here is good i have a Ethernet to my pc at 1GB(970mbs more accurate) so any IT people trying to live here you wont have issues with wifi and iv never experienced my light going off.

1 anoying thing is Amex isnt accepted anywhere like litrally no where so if you travel here make sure to have money in your card and for normal visa, mastercard apple pay it works perfectly fine most places accept it but do keep a Million or so in your pocket incase. 1.5% withdraw fee not including card transaction and i think its about 5-7.5 mil max depending on atm.

Any question or tips please tell me. 😄

Please dont message me asking to hang out in a nice way.
